    History

    The Challenger 601 is an upgraded version of the Challenger 600 series with the addition of General Electric CF-34 engines and in some versions winglets which improved fuel economy and increased range. The Challenger 601 series is most known for its large cabin, oversized cargo capacity and cross country performance. Standard configurations include seating for 12 to 14 passengers with some custom configurations with as many as passenger seats. The Challenger 600 series has been flying since 1983 with excellent dispatch reliability and is one of the most efficient large cabin jets available.
