The Global Express private jet, a Bombardier product, has revolutionized the class of large cabin aircraft. The cabin is over 6'2" in height and 8'1" in width, 48 ft in length and has the ability to be transformed into a fully functioning office, as well as a bedroom. With seating configurations that can hold up to 17 and powerful Rolls-Royce engines that can drive this impressive bird over 6,600 nautical miles non-stop, there is no question why this aircraft passes the tests of even the most discerning executives.
Bombardier Aerospace began development the Global XRS in 1993 with the first flight occurring in 1996. The Global Express fuselage is similar to Bombardier Regional Jet, is similar in length, but designed for very different missions. The Global Express incorporated many new features including: an advanced all new supercritical airfoil with a 35° sweep and winglets and a new T-tail for better performance and fuel economy to handle longer missions. The aircraft is powered by two BMW RollsRoyce BR-710 turbofans with FADEC and the advanced flightdeck features a six screen Honeywell Primus 2000 XP EFIS suite with optional heads-up displays.
