The Global 5000 is an ultra long range business jet, manufactured by Bombardier. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce, the G5000 is able to fly 5,200 nautical miles at 0.85 mach, making Salt Lake City to London or London to Riyadh typical nonstop routes of travel. For maximum comfort, the cabin is typically outfitted to seat 12 – 14 passengers; however it can be configured with up to 17 seats. A full service galley, capable of preparing hot gourmet meals, in addition to complete in-flight office requirements and a full entertainment system, allow even the longest and most arduous flights, to be turned into productive and pleasurable time.
The Global 5000 is based on the Global Express, with a 32 inch reduction in forward fuselage length, and 1,200 nm reduction in maximum range. Seating capacity is up to 19 passengers but typically configured for 12 to 14. The jet was launched in 2002 and is built on the same production line as the Global Express XRS (Express.)
The Global 5000 can fly close to 5,000 nautical miles nonstop at Mach 0.80 making it one of the fastest long range jets available today.
Typical configuration features 18 passenger seats including an aft lounge which can fold down into a bedroom. The aircraft has a full galley and two lavatories.
