With cruise speeds of 445 mph and interior cabin dimensions of 4.7 feet in height, 4.8 feet in width and 17.3 feet in length, the Cessna Citation Ultra private jet is one of the fastest and most spacious light jets available. Seating configuration are typically arranged to seat seven passengers, with three club seats in the forward cabin and four club seats in the aft. The Citation Ultra also is certified to cruise upward of 41,000 feet, giving it the ability to fly over high altitude inclement weather and features a partial galley, a fully enclosed lavatory and an unmatched 67 cubic feet, of combined internal and external baggage space.
The Citation V was developed from the Citation II with upgraded Pratt & Whitney JT15D5A turbofan engines and a slightly longer fuselage which allows seating in a standard configuration for up to eight passengers. The Citation V was very successful with 262 delivered through to mid 1994 before production switched to the further upgraded Citation Ultra.
The Citation Ultra received certification in June 1994 with deliveries soon after. The engines were upgraded from the Citation V to the Pratt & Whitney JT15D5D.
